Fast, responsive and versatile, discover the TET Mod Fish board from the Torq brand!

Designed with TET technology (Torq Epoxy Technology) using a high-density EPS foam covered with a epoxy shell, this lightweight and durable construction offers excellent buoyancy combined with optimal responsiveness. The board's outline is quite wide with a greater width at the nose and tail, ensuring excellent floatation and stability. Its moderate rocker enhances speed gain and ease of performing more technical maneuvers. Regarding its concave, you will find a fairly flat nose, a slight curve towards the tail to improve control and stability of the board. The medium rails slightly pinched towards the tail improve the board's directional control. Finally, the swallow tail shaped tail is a very popular tail design on shortboard and fish-type boards. This tail shape reduces drag by increasing the board's speed. It also allows for tighter and more technical maneuvers.

Level of practice : Intermediate and advanced

Outline : Modern fish, meaning that the board is shorter and wider than traditional surfboards, thus improving stability and buoyancy. The outline, more curved than classic surfboards, will ensure better maneuverability by enhancing performance in steeper and faster waves. The nose, wider than on traditional surfboards, improves buoyancy and facilitates take-offs. The board's swallowtail, forming an inverted V shape, improves maneuverability and the ability to make tight turns in steep and fast waves

Rocker : Moderate rocker, relatively smooth curve from the nose to the tail. This curvature ensures a smoother glide on the wave by facilitating speed gain. It will also facilitate maneuvers in the hollow sections of the wave. Finally, this type of rocker enhances stability, making the board easier to surf for intermediate and advanced surfers by offering excellent versatility

Concave : Simple concave, V-shaped curve inverted that goes from the nose to the tail of the board. This concave ensures excellent stability and maneuverability of the board. The simple concave accelerates the speed of the board by creating pressure on the water that helps propulsion. This type of concave is useful when the board moves on less hollow or slower waves. It also facilitates tight turns by reducing drag on the edges of the board while offering excellent maneuverability. Finally, this type of concave improves the stability of the board by evenly distributing the weight increasing the contact surface with the water

Rails : Rather thick, giving the board a real added stability combined with good buoyancy, rails useful for beginner and intermediate surfers. However, the rails are also thin enough to allow more advanced surfers to perform more aggressive maneuvers and thus carve the waves. You will find fairly straight front rails enhancing wave entry with improved stability during maneuvers. The rear rails, on the other hand, thinner and rounder facilitate tight turns thanks to excellent maneuverability. Finally, the thickness and shape of the rails reduce drag, thereby improving speed gain

Tail : Swallow tail is characterized by two pointed ends added to a notch in the center allowing to significantly reduce drag in order to increase the speed of the board. This notch also creates a narrower pivot zone thus facilitating tight turns and more agile and technical maneuvers. It will also offer a larger surface for the rear fins placed near the tail to better control the board during maneuvers. Finally, it also improves flotation by allowing water to flow more easily around the tail

Construction : TET - Epoxy Torq Technology, construction using the latest epoxy/EPS materials by combining a light EPS core with a biaxial fiberglass fabric, an epoxy resin and the unique Shield Skin Made in Torq. This Torq composite is built in the most advanced molds in the world thanks to a precision CNC cut from a single block of aluminum creating a perfect reproduction with every board produced
