Ruddy

Who are you?

I am Ruddy. Passionate about sports since I was very young, I discovered urban sports (and more specifically rollerblading) in Gap. At 17, I had a revelation and wanted to share my passion. So I obtained a Federal Instructor Certificate to be able to teach rollerblading and simultaneously completed a BPJEPS.

Where are you from?

I come from the Paris region, more precisely from the 18th arrondissement.

Since when have you been rollerblading?

I started rollerblading at a very young age in the Place du Palais Royal in Paris. I also took part in many organized rides. I then became interested in skatecross and participated in a freeride race in Île-de-France. I also took part in the WSX circuit (World Skate-Cross Series).

How have you progressed?

I have improved thanks to my comrades. We are a group and we regularly ride together to get better.

What is your best advice for those who want to start rollerblading?

The important thing is to persist. You must not stop at the first difficulty. The ideal is to find a group to go out with and progress together.

What is your favorite spot?

My favorite spot is the Palais de Tokyo. It's the original place to start and improve in freeskate (jumping off steps with or without rotation, going down stairs in tactac, etc).

Do you have any sports plans for this year?

Yes, I plan to travel from Paris to Madrid in 10 days. The idea of this sporting challenge is to show that it is possible to travel in a more responsible way.
