If someone tells you that Black Label Skateboards is the brand that invented or at least modernized the shapes for tricks in the 80s, with No comply, Slappies, and especially the skate deck label that supposedly designed the first "non-popsicle board shapes"?

John Lucero is the former pro skateboarder and founder since 1988 of the skateboard and skate gear brand Black Label! He can be proud to claim that his company has remained 100% independent since 1990... thus being able to claim this label of a skate brand "by skaters for skaters." John Lucero is recognized by the skate scene for the fact that he remains a passionate skater who thinks above all about the well-being on a skateboard of a skater, rather than about his wallet...

Like brands such as Independent Trucks, Powell Peralta, and Sims skateboards, the Black Label brand marked the late 80s and rebel skateboarding, before diving with style and confidence into 90s skateboarding, while remaining neutral towards the media and monetary craze of the skateboarding industry.

This is not counting on legendary skaters like Jason Adams, Chris Troy, Omar Hassan, Jake Reuter, Peter Watkins, and Adam Alfaro that the company Black Label Skateboards has taken an important place in the global skateboard industry...

The brand remains "robust" both in its image and through its quality sk8 decks... which are widely appreciated for their "Thrasher" design and their durability in heavy Hammer use, and Pool skating!
