Chocolate Skateboards is the "exotic" brand of the Crailtap group, known for having modernized the Skateboard scene by launching in 1993 a brand called Girl Skateboards…

It is thanks to Girl Skateboards that Chocolate Skate was able to come into existence! Wanting to expand the team in 1994, the company saw the creation of a new distinct brand as a new approach to its vision of skateboarding, and it made this superb choice with ease, as the quality of the new pro skaters was already evident at the official launch of the Chocolate Skateboards family. Initially featuring guys like Chico Brenes, Keenan Milton (RIP), Daniel Castillo, Paulo Diaz, Gabriel Rodriguez, Shamil Randle, Ben Sanchez, and Richard Muler, this team had a very "Chicano" style in the guys' look!

Times have passed, some riders have moved on to other things, but the quality of the Chocolate brand riders has always been there, with Chico Brenes still at the helm as the "Big daddy of the team," and the more or less young talents like Chris Roberts, Kenny Anderson, Jesus Fernandez, Justin Eldridge, Vincent Alvarez, and Yonnie Cruz.

We were able to see the skills and creativity on a skateboard of all these pro skaters by watching skate videos that now serve as references for new generations, such as "The Chocolate Tour in 1999" or Hot Chocolate in 2004, and more recently Pretty Sweet in 2012, the latter of which received an award at the 15th annual Transworld Magazine video for the best skateboard video of the year.

Hawaiisurf skate shop offers you a wide selection of Chocolate skateboard decks, featuring the iconic series by web designer Evan Hecox, who for each series presents a reconstructed scene by placing all the boards of the series glued together in a precise order.

Because they are splendid in terms of design, Chocolate skateboards decks also have the particularity of being sturdy and having a monstrous pop! Thus, the company from the Crailtap group remains one of the top 10 brands with us for decades at the heart of our Parisian skate shop.
